New Clubouse In The Pipeline

Last year we were so very pleased to obtain outline planning permission for a new clubhouse. Our old one, a reused portacabin, was extremely dilapidated to say the least. Even before we got it years ago in had previously served time elsewhere at a school in London and is now 45 years old.

We were very fortunate that local architect Judith Armstrong assisted us with our planning application and helped us draw up our plans which she did pro bono, going above and beyond. The new clubhouse will feature a classroom facility, an office, a proper tack room built as part of the new building and a kitchen as well as modern facilities. We submitted our plans in March and were delighted that the local Parish Council and Willington residents were firmly behind us with their support. There is still a long way to go and obviously a mountain to climb in terms of fundraising and preparing to start construction, so please dont expect to see the builders on site any time soon!
